D.C.-area chef Carla Hall, a fan favorite on Bravo's "Top Chef" and celebrity judge of June's Taste of Del Ray, made her debut as the host of ABC's "The Chew" on Monday afternoon.
Modeled after “The View,” Hall co-hosts the program with fellow chefs Mario Batali and Michael Symon, stylist Clinton Kelly and nutritionist Daphne Oz.
“It’s going to be so much fun,” . “I’ve been telling people [‘The Chew’] will be a combination of ‘The View,’ ‘Iron Chef’ and ‘Friends.’ … We all have really good chemistry together.”
Last week, Hall was the subject of lenghty profile in The Washington Post.
Despite the busy schedule, she continues to oversee her sweet and savory cookie business called “Alchemy by Carla Hall.”
owner Eric Nelson met Hall in June at the Taste of Del Ray and soon after the festival the cookies became available at his store.
