Third Try at First Thursday
Street festival runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. along Mount Vernon Avenue.
The Del Ray Business Association will make a third attempt at June's First Thursday street festival on Thursday, June 20.
The theme of June’s festival is Dog Days of Summer and lots of canine-related activities are planned for Mount Vernon Avenue. The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria is the event's featured nonprofit.
The festival, which will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., was initially planned for June 5, but rain twice forced postponement.

- June 20 — Dog Days of Summer
- July 11 (the second Thursday as not to conflict with July 4) — Main Street Celebration
- Aug. 1 — Did You Know? Highlighting some of the lesser-known businesses in Del Ray.
- Sept. 5 — Lights, Camera, Action!
