DiverseCity Alexandria Multicultural Fest Set for Sept. 15

New festival aims to celebrate city's diversity.

Alexandria’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Activities has teamed with the Arlandria-Chirilagua Business Association and several citizen groups to organize a new festival celebrating the city’s diversity.

Scheduled for Sept. 15 at the located at 4109 Mt. Vernon Avenue in Arlandria, the DiverseCity Alexandria Multicultural Fest is open to all ages. The free festival will include live music and performers, international food vendors, kids games and cultural activities. 

The event is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Live acts will use the new Four Mile Run stage that has been used for performances at the Four Mile Run Farmers and Artisans Market.

The Lynhaven Citizens Association, Warwick Village Citizens Association and Hume Springs Citizens Association are all co-sponsoring the event.
