Del Ray Farmers' Market Voted Best in D.C. Region

Tell us: Why do you shop at the Del Ray Farmers' Market? Why do you think it's the best farmers market around?

The Del Ray Farmers’ Market is the best market in the D.C. area, according to a recent vote on the WTOP website.

The year-round market, located at the corner of Mt. Vernon and E. Oxford Avenues, is open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

Longtime neighborhood resident Pat Miller founded the market in 1994.

“Thanks need to go to the Del Ray Community for their tremendous support!,” Miller wrote in an email.

The market launched a website in June.

In a WTOP story on the market, it’s described as the kickoff of Del Ray’s social weekend and a popular destination for visitors from the District. Some bike in from Capitol Hill each Saturday to pick up breakfast and some produce.
