Updated: Del Ray Couple Collecting Supplies for Sandy Victims

9 p.m. Sunday update — Kristen Gullott said the community "really came out" on Sunday with donations of supplies for Hurricane Sandy victims in Staten Island, N.Y.

Gullott and her husband, Chris, filled a 26-foot truck with donated clothing and supplies and will start filling another one on Monday.

Gullot said she will hold a second dropoff from 7:30 a.m. until "probably 4 p.m." Monday at Epiphany Productions, located at 104 E. Hume Avenue. They are no longer accepting clothing donations but still are seeking many items, especially: 

• Chargers
• Batteries
• Diapers (adult and kids)
• Cleaning supplies
• Plastic disposable gloves
• Heavy duty trash bags
• Batteries
• Flashlights

Del Ray couple Kristen and Chris Gullott will be collecting supplies for the Staten Island, N.Y., victims of Hurricane Sandy on Sunday.

“[Staten Island] is the home to many, many police and firemen who lost everything [in the storm],” Kristen Gullot wrote in an email to friends and neighbors.

The couple is aiming to send two trucks of supplies to Staten Island by Tuesday. They will be accepting donations of supplies from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday at Epiphany Productions, located at 104 E. Hume Avenue.

Kristen Gullot said they are seeking the following items: 

• Phone chargers
• Power strips
• Pre-mixed formula
• Bottled water
• Blankets
• Coats and clothing for adults and kids
• Diapers
• Wipes
• Non-perishable food
