Hiccup, however, can’t stomach killing the beast. The two quickly build a friendship that helps the Vikings see there’s much more to the dragons than previously believed.

The film features the voice talents of Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, American Ferrera, Jonah Hill and Kristen Wiig.

Chicago Sun-Times film critic Roger Ebert wrote that the movie is “bright, good-looking and has high energy. Kids above the easily scared age will probably like the movie the younger they are.”

The film garnered two Academy Award nominations, including one for Best Animated Feature, and grossed more than $217 million at the box office.
