Alexandria Installs New Bike Corral in Front of VeloCity

Four racks were placed into the street directly in front of the nonprofit's headquarters.

A new bike corral was installed Tuesday morning in front of VeloCity Bicycle Cooperative, located at 2111 Mount Vernon Ave.

Four racks were placed into the street directly in front of the nonprofit’s headquarters, providing more bike parking for volunteers and special VeloCity events like community rides and meet-ups.

During a spring Del Ray Citizens Association meeting, Hillary Poole, Alexandria's Complete Streets coordinator, said she was planning to install several new bicycle racks in the Mount Vernon Avenue corridor.
