seven-week group course for ages 14 and up will move at a motivating pace. In fact, you’ll be
playing songs at our very first class meeting. You’ll make a good deal of progress
in a short period of time. During our time together you’ll do plenty of strumming
and finger picking in several chord families. You’ll also learn about song forms. Armed with this knowledge, you’ll discover
how to create uniquely “YOU” cover versions of songs – from both vocal and instrumental perspectives – and workshop them
in class. Along the way, you learn about
the instrument’s history and influence in popular culture. In addition, you’ll gain practical and
valuable information that will enable you to continue your journey after our
session is concluded. The content of our final meeting will be determined by
the class. Will it be another lesson? A recital
for family and friends? A “just-us” shindig?
Group busking? A ukulele flash
mob? An informal recording session? Let’s find out together!
*Students must provide their own instrument; soprano, concert, or tenor size ukuleles only.*
*PLEASE NOTE: In order to receive maximum individualized attention with the instructor in the group setting, there is a class limit of 8 students.*
7 one-hour sessions - $160
Tuesdays, March 4th – April 8th, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
