Lights, Camera, Fashion! — Plenty of fashion shows featuring local businesses, a performance from the Kate Moran Band and other fun activities are planned from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. up and down Mount Vernon Avenue for the final First Thursday street festival of 2013. Thursday Jazz — It’s Thursday, which means the Not-So-Modern Jazz Band will be performing at St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub (2300 Mount Vernon Ave.). The band, which has performed continuously since 1983, gets the party swinging at 7:30 p.m.

Sur La Table Opens — Sur La Table is officially opening its new store at 326 King St. at 10 a.m. today. Along with selling kitchenware and cookware accessories, Sur La Table will offer a culinary program at the new spot.
