$15.00
Wheels to Africa (WTA) wheels-to-africa.org is having its annual bike collection. WTA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that collects bikes for African and needy
American Communities. WTA was started by Arlington resident Winston Duncan when he was 11 years old. After a trip to Southern Africa in 2005, Winston
decided he had to help people in Africa who needed transportation to obtain food, water and medicine.
Since 2005, WTA has collected over 500 bikes that
were sent to Uganda, Nambia, Sierra Leone, and Kenya.
WTA requests a $15 donation per bike to help cover the cost of overseas shipping.

More About T.C. Williams High School
T.C. Williams is the sole public high school in the city of Alexandria. This main campus is for grades 10 - 12; the ninth graders use the Minnie Howard campus on W. Braddock Road.
A new state-of-the-art building was opened in 2007, replacing the original school that was next door. A parking ramp now sits where the original building once stood.
As part of a technology initiative, every student is provided with a laptop computer. Organic Chemistry is one of many Advanced Placement classes offered.
There are more than 50 clubs and organizations for students to participate, as well as a wide variety of successful sports programs.
