The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA) has received a grant from PetSmart Charities to fund Alexandria’s first trap-neuter-return (TNR) program to help feral cats in the city. The TNR program enlists the help of concerned citizens and feral cat caretakers to humanely reduce the sizes of feral cat colonies. A TNR Community Workshop has been scheduled in the Arlandria neighborhood of Alexandria to discuss feral cats with citizens and educate and train them on TNR practices. Information will also be presented at the workshops in Spanish. Visit www.AlexandriaAnimals.org/TNR for more information on the TNR program and the schedule of TNR Community Workshops.
