DESCRIPTION:The Alexandria Childhood Obesity Action Network (A-COAN)&nbsp
 \;is partnering with the Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) to expand 
 the Master Food Volunteer Program to Alexandria.&nbsp\; The Master Food 
 Volunteer Program combines your love of cooking\, nutrition\, physical a
 ctivity\, and helping others!&nbsp\; The corps of volunteers helps the V
 irginia Cooperative Extension reach more Virginians with up-to-date\, re
 search based knowledge on food preparation\, nutrition\, food safety\, a
 nd physical activity.&nbsp\;\nWe are actively recruiting volunteers to p
 articipate in the March 2013 training class.&nbsp\; Space is limited and
  registration closes February 8th.&nbsp\;\nBecome a Master Food Voluntee

 \n\nVirginia Cooperative Extension is looking for applicants to become M
 aster Food Volunteers (MFVs). Volunteers help to lead Extension&rsquo\;s
  many nutrition programs in the community\, such as:\n\nCooking demonstr
 ations\nNutrition and cooking classes for adults\nCooking classes at sen
 ior centers\nNutrition classes for parents of pre-schoolers\nIn school a
 nd after school programs\nHealth Fairs\nNewspaper or newsletter articles
  on healthy eating\, physical activity\, and food preparation\nEducation
  at food distribution sites\nCreate your own!\n\n&nbsp\;\nHere are the d
