On Saturday June 23, 2012 the 6th annual Del Ray Music Festival will occur from 10:00am – 10:00pm in the field next to the Mt. Vernon Recreation Center (corner of Mt. Vernon and Commonwealth Avenues). Admission is Free!
Our mission is to highlight, support, and showcase the local musical talent that is alive and well in DC, MD, and VA through a community event for families and children.
Come out to enjoy the diverse musical talent that Del Ray has to offer; we have it all: rock-a-billy, jazz, rock, country, reggae, Celtic, Latino and more! Admission is always free as this is a community event! Our event is organized and developed by neighborhood residents and that is what makes it a special event each and every year.
We have added in Del Ray Music Week, which takes place the week leading up to the festival, with musicians all along Mt. Vernon Avenue, at some of Del Ray's finest establishments, indoors and outdoors, celebrating the wonderful music that the DC, MD and VA area has to offer!
This year's Festival headliner is the Pat McGee Band! Other bands and musicians that will be joining us for the Festival or during Music Week include:
The Weathervanes
Natalie York
Tiffany Thompson
Wes Tucker and the Skillets
Evan Bliss and the Welchers
Kate Moran Band
