DESCRIPTION:Anthony Pirog&nbsp\;is "an omnivorous\, multi-faceted guitari
st who studied jazz at Berklee and has performed country\, fingerstyle\,
rock and surf music." He makes up half of the duo\, Janel and Anthony.
Together\,&nbsp\;they spent over 3 years conceiving and recording Where
Is Home in a professional\, analog studio\, giving the album a thoughtfu
l\, comfortable and lived in feel. Alternating compositions with brief i
mprovisations and soundscapes\, Where Is Home captures the dynamic ebb a
nd flow of their live shows where they artfully employ live looping\, an
array of effects and prepared backing. Simple musical lines grow into c
omplex blocks of echoing sound which eventually are spun and turned into
elegiac melodies. The music is both experimental and elegant and smokil
 y psychedelic in a completely modern way.\n----------\n"Insect Factory i
s music from Silver Spring\, MD musician Jeff Barsky. Insect Factory foc
uses on texture and mood\, building layers of dense sounds that slowly e
volve into hypnotic and atmospheric drones.Since the 90's\, Barsky has c
ontinuously played in bands and improvisational collectives\, and has pe
rformed frequently on the east coast of the U.S.\, and also in Canada\,
throughout Europe\, and Japan. His first proper release\, &ldquo\;Air Tr
affic Control Sleep&rdquo\;\, was released on Insectfields in the late s
ummer of 2007\, to acclaim from the likes of Washington Post\, the Wire\
, and Terrascope.&nbsp\;Barsky&rsquo\;s various projects have shared the
stage with acts as diverse as Richard Pinhas\, Nels Cline\, Acid Mother
s Temple\, and Carla Bozulich\, and he has performed at Suoni Il Per Pop
 olo festival in Montreal\, Terrastock 7 in Louisville\, KY\, and D.C.&rs
 quo\;s Sonic Circuits\, Queering Sound\, and Fringe Festivals.Insect Fac
tory recently released a split 7" with RST (New Zealand)\, and recently
