Your Turn: Resolutions for Del Ray
As 2013 dawns, what could make Del Ray an even better community?
Del Ray is a pretty great place to live.
Still, we're sure there are things that could be improved even about the best communities.
As 2013 dawns, many of our residents will vow to live a healthier lifestyle (as soon as that New Year's hangover clears up), others will promise to spend more time with their family, learn something new or cross something off of their bucket list.
If you had the opportunity to make a resolution for Del Ray, what would you want it to be? How can our community improve in 2013?

More bicycle parking. Look at Del Ray Cafe for terrific bicycle parking.
I also wish for motorized traffic to be more cognizant of pedestrian traffic. Don't just run red lights everywhere and stop at crosswalks.
Del Ray doesn't need more parking spaces. Where would they come from? We need Capital Bikeshare stations so people have an easier time to come to Del Ray and enjoy our beautiful surroundings!

I have friends who go on vacation to visit charming, small towns in various parts of the country. I get to live in one and be here every day, and I love it!
I resolve to work with the City, property owners, and fellow business owners to improve pedestrian lighting on the east side of the Avenue.
