Volunteers Add to Four Mile Run Park's Tree Canopy [VIDEO]

Tree Stewards of Arlington and Alexandria and Casey Trees spearhead project to plant more than 20 trees.

Dozens of volunteers planted more than 20 new trees in the northwest corner of Four Mile Run Park on Sunday as part of an effort organized by Tree Stewards of Arlington and Alexandria and Casey Trees, according to The Arlandrian.

The project was funded entirely by a grant from Casey Trees, a D.C.-based urban forestry nonprofit dedicated to restoring, enhancing and protecting the District’s tree canopy.

Sunday’s planting marked the first time Casey Trees ventured outside the District.
