Lovingly known as The Pit, the Beverley Hills park and playground situated at 620 North Overlook Drive is regularly bustling with parents, childcare providers and children. The park is spacious and clean, boasting well-kept playground equipment and has even become home to second-hand bikes, scooters and other ride-on toys for children of all ages. A highlight for most children is the sandbox and a plethora of toys.

The steep hills around the outer edge of the park allow for children to run free without constant worry that they will escape into the street (though my own children have become quite adept at scaling the hills at a rather quick speed).

The Pit has picnic tables, a covered picnic area and plenty of shade for outdoor eating and relaxation. It is the perfect place for a play date or to entertain guests with lawn games and snacks.

The Pit is one of the most popular playground in the area. The call of “Meet us at The Pit” is familiar to the majority of parents in the neighborhood.
