Poll: McAuliffe, Cuccinelli Tied in Virginia Governor's Race
When Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling is throw into the poll as an independent, poll numbers barely move.

If Virginia’s Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling throws his hat into the Virginia governor’s race, the race could tilt very slightly toward Democrat candidate Terry McAuliffe, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.
McAuliffe and Republican State Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli are statistically tied in a February Quinnipiac University poll of Virginia registered voters about the two-way governor’s race—each candidate has 38 percent. Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,112 registered Virginia voters; the survey has a margin of error of +/- 2.9 percent.
When Bolling is thrown into the mix, McAuliffe gets 34 percent of the votes and Cuccinelli gets 31 percent—almost within the margin of error—and Bolling gets 13 percent.
Bolling said he would make a decision as to whether he would enter 2013 campaign for Virginia’s next governor as an independent by March 14.

This latest poll doesn’t show much difference from the poll numbers taken Jan. 9 by Quinnipiac University.
The election to choose the next governor is in November 2013.

I'm baffled how anyone could cast a vote for a guy who sued respected University professors and legitimate environmental groups who were studying climate change. The guy is that much of a right wing christian nut that he equates academic investigation to fraud. Great reminder of how backwoods Virginia still is. The guy is scarey.

I couldn't in good conscience vote for either of them. Unless someone else comes around, it's me and my conscience voting NONE OF THE ABOVE.

I am all for Cucinelli. He may be extreme, but he is far better than McAuliffe. Unlike McAuliffe, Cucinelli is sincere. In contrast, McAuliffe is a nothing more than a Democratic party hack. He will try to raise everyone's taxes, except for those groups that traditionally vote Democratic and/or that contribute large sums of money to Democratic campaigns.
