I-395 HOV Lanes to Close Overnight for Much of Next Week
The Virginia Department of Transportation will install signage and complete bridge painting during overnight work periods.
The Virginia Department of Transportation will close all HOV lanes on Interstate 395 from the George Washington Parkway-Pentagon exit to the Springfield Interchange each weeknight next week to install signage and complete bridge painting.
Beginning at 9:30 p.m. on Monday, I-395 HOV gates will close and traffic will not be permitted until 3:30 a.m. the following morning. The HOV lane closures will occur every night next week between Monday and Friday.
VDOT says motorists should expect delays during peak periods and add 15 or 20 minutes to their expected trip times. Alternate routes should also be considered.
The Interstate 95 HOV lanes will be open from Exit 169 (Franconia Road, Route 644) to just past Route 234.
