The holiday season is here and that means Alexandria communities seek volunteers for many and different causes.

Who: Neediest Kids

What: School professionals working with a Neediest Kids coordinator in each school district enter some information into Neediest Kids' computer portal. Then, either the family receives a purchase order to buy the needed goods or the products are delivered right to the student at school. It’s easy, efficient and fast.

When: Any time

Where: Online at neediestkids.org

Why: Neediest Kids provides thousands of low-income students across the DC metro area with the basic essentials they need to get the education they deserve. The nonprofit seeks donations for eye glasses, eye exams, coats, school uniforms, school supplies, personal care items, food and more.
