President Obama surprised just about everyone Wednesday when he made an afternoon trip to Potomac Yard to do some Christmas shopping. Perhaps even more unexpected was the president’s second stop at Del Ray Pizzeria, where he picked up three pies before making his exit from Alexandria.
Hundreds gathered at both spots to shake Obama’s hand, wish him happy holidays or just share in the moment.
If you were lucky enough to partake in the spectacle, please share your experience. Did you get to shake the president’s hand? Did you say anything to him? Did he say anything to you? Did you keep your cool? Or were you that woman outside Best Buy waving both hands above her head screaming the president’s name?
