Claremon Conquers 'High on the Hog' Challenge at Pork Barrel
DC's Meat Week promotion makes a stop in Del Ray.
Steven Claremon was named winner of "High on the Hog" eating challenge Thursday night at Pork Barrel BBQ in Del Ray as part of DC Meat Week.
Pork Barrel BBQ debuted its "High on the Hog" eating challenge with a timed contest between three competitors. The winner was Steven Claremon, who devoured all of the following in 45 minutes flat:
- 1 Smackin’ Big Daddy Sandwich
- 1 slab of Ribs
- 2 Texas Brisket Sausages
- 1 side of Monster Mac and Cheese
- 1 side of Baked Beans
- 1 side of Cole Slaw
- 1 pickle slice
Now anyone who wants to take the "High on the Hog" challenge and attempt to beat Claremon’s record can do so by giving advance notice to the restaurant.
Contest rules: If someone completes the challenge, they will receive a t-shirt, a $50 gift card to Pork Barrel BBQ, and their name in the “High on the Hog Challenge” Hall of Fame.
If the challenger fails to complete the challenge, they will be required to pay $49.95 for the meal.

Disgusting! I only hope in between gobbles thanks was given to mother earth for providing the nourishment being given by the slaughtered animals and plants.
