Cheesetique in Del Ray is now open on Mondays.

Owner Jill Erber opened the doors at 10 a.m. Monday for the first time in the eight-year history of the cheese shop and restaurant located at 2411 Mount Vernon Ave.

“Why? Because it makes us feel really bad when we’re in the shop cleaning and people keep trying to walk through the locked door,” Erber wrote in a recent Cheesetique newsletter. “We are super-excited about the new schedule, so make sure to visit us on Mondays.”

Both the Del Ray and Shirlington Cheesetique locations open at 10 a.m. on Mondays with lunch service beginning at 11 a.m. The restaurant and shop at both locations remain open until 10 p.m. on Mondays.
