Updated: Stolen Alexandria Police Cruiser Found in Maryland
Property inside the vehicle included a shotgun and mobile computer.
7:10 p.m. update — The missing Alexandria police cruiser was discovered around 5 p.m. Friday by local police officials in Prince George's County, Md., according to an update from the Alexandria Police Department.
The vehicle is being towed back to Alexandria Police Headquarters for further processing. An inventory of police property had not yet been completed.

Alexandria police are investigating the theft of an Alexandria Police cruiser, which was parked and locked and taken overnight from 2727 Duke St.
The car is number 2168, a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria. The cruiser had property inside, including a Remington 870 shotgun and a Panasonic Toughbook Mobile Computer.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the police cruiser or with information about the thief or thieves is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Section of the Alexandria Police Department at 703-746-6711.
Detectives would like to remind witnesses that they can remain anonymous.
