ACPS Schedules Hurricane Sandy Make-Up Days
Students at Alexandria City Public Schools will have weather-related make-up dates due to the super storm.
Hurricane Sandy spurred Alexandria City Public Schools to close on Oct. 29 and 30 and now students will have two make-up days.
The days for traditional calendar schools will be made up on Feb. 1 and March 8 in accordance with the School Board-approved schedule of weather-related make-up days. The make-up days for modified calendar schools (Mount Vernon Community and Samuel Tucker elementaries) will be Feb. 1 and March 22.
The days had been scheduled as student holidays and professional days for teachers.
